financial economics 是交叉性课程，属于经济系范畴，是纯经济的，侧重金融方向而已
从入学要求看，就明确要求一定的经济课程。课程设置更是宏观和微观相关的课程为主，4门核心课程+2门选修课程。

仔细看格拉斯哥大学的培养方向，基本都是千篇一律，搞的很大似的，动不动就央行、投资银行，政府决策部门，搞的高高在上。你看的这些课程大多空空的，宏观的东西非常多，没有一定的工作经验，是非常难以理解和消化的。
第一个课程，更多是从数据分析来制定政策，后一个更多的是宏观探讨多。第一个课程对数学和经济基础要的多一点，学习难度比第一个课程累。
个人觉得，这些都是传统的经济学范畴，差别不是特别大。看你自己的背景和职业定位了。
